Welcome to the City of Onalaska Fire Department’s (OFD) website.  We are
a progressive combination department with 20 Full-time and 12 Part-time /
Paid on Call members proudly serving our community since 1894. The OFD
provides Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Prevention,
Technical Rescue, and Community Risk Reduction Programs to the citizens
we serve. Our coverage area includes the City of Onalaska and Town of
Onalaska with a population just over 25,000 and 48 square miles.
The City of Onalaska is located just north of Interstate 90 which connects
Wisconsin and Minnesota. Nestled between the bluffs and Mississippi river
back waters makes Onalaska a vacation destination for those that enjoy
the outdoors and relaxing with family and friends.

The Onalaska Fire Department is asking for your help to pitch in and keep the nearest fire hydrant to your property clear from snow. Please keep a clear path of 3 feet around the hydrant nearest to their property. In doing so, a few minutes of your time could help save a life, even your own!
